1. Definitions and Scope of Services

Definitions: References to “we,” “us,” and “our” mean 1Point Plumbing and Heating, and “client,” “you,” and “your” refer to the customer engaging our services.

Scope of Services: Our services include plumbing, heating, drainage, and emergency repairs. Specific exclusions apply to pre-existing property damage, structural repairs, and blockages.

2. Service Orders and Quotes

Diagnostic Fee: A non-refundable diagnostic fee ranging from £30 to £100 will be charged for evaluating issues, depending on complexity.

Call-Out Fees: Standard call-outs cost between £30 and £100, and emergency call-outs range from £80 to £150, depending on location and service requirements.

Pricing: We do not charge hourly rates; instead, we provide a fixed price per job, which will be detailed in your quote. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

3. Booking and Cancellation

Booking Confirmation: All service requests require client acceptance of the quoted price and any applicable diagnostic fees to confirm the booking.

Cancellation Policy: Clients may cancel their service booking by contacting us via email or phone. A cancellation fee may apply if cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time. Emergency services are non-cancellable once dispatched.

4. Payment Terms

Fees and Invoicing: Payments are due upon completion of services, payable via cash, bank transfer, or card. Invoices are provided upon request, and we may require a deposit for large projects.

Late Payment: Interest at a rate of 2% per month will be added to overdue payments. Failure to pay may result in the suspension of further services and collection action as necessary.

5. Warranty and Repairs

Workmanship Warranty: We offer a 6-month warranty on all workmanship, excluding services related to blockages, which are not covered. This warranty covers repairs or adjustments required due to faults in our work. Damage arising from misuse, neglect, or tampering voids the warranty.

Material Defects: Materials provided by 1Point Plumbing and Heating carry warranties as per the manufacturer’s terms. We do not warrant materials supplied by the client.

6. Liability and Limitations

Scope of Liability: We are not liable for pre-existing property damage or for issues arising from inadequate maintenance, defective foundations, or structural weaknesses in the client’s property. Reasonable care is taken to avoid damage to property, but liability is limited to direct damages resulting from negligence on our part.

Client Responsibility: The client must ensure the working area is cleared of valuables or fragile items. We will not be held responsible for any damages to items left within the working area.

7. Indemnity

Client Indemnification: The client agrees to indemnify 1Point Plumbing and Heating against any claims, damages, or losses resulting from conditions on the property or failure to disclose relevant information that impacts service performance.

8. Force Majeure

Force Majeure: 1Point Plumbing and Heating is not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events outside our control, such as natural disasters, strikes, or supply chain disruptions.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by UK law and any disputes arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.

10. Changes to Terms

Amendments: We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes before services are rendered.
